New season, new luck

Dear C-girls (and other interested parties),

this first news for the 2019-season is in English. Officially, so that you can learn better English, unofficially, because it's much easier and faster for me to do than in Finnish. It also reads smoother than my odd Finnish.

The 2018-season was difficult for our C-girls (03-04) team due to a lack of players. Our squad consisted of only 12 players. That's impossible if you play in a 11v11 league. We gave our best nonetheless and with the help of our D-girls (05-06), we achieved a pretty good result in the end table, with a couple of highpoints like a 0-0 against the (back then) leader of the league, IK Myran or a 5-5 against KPV. We even scored 1 of the only 3 against-goals that GBK got during the whole season!

The collaboration with the D-girls worked very well and we started training together during the summer. We decided to merge and we are now the new C-girls (03-06).

We want to continue learning proper football through a step-by-step learning approach. The goal is to develop a functioning team, both, on and off the field, as well as the whole organisation group around it. Everything is possible if you have an awesome team. And we are quite awesome folks. Now we also work on becoming more awesome footballers. Let's see in 4 to 5 years what we achieved.

While we're having a lot of fun, we nonetheless are serious and committed to our team and to football. We have a big squad now, so we can train properly and have internal competition. And while we don't need new players, we nonetheless welcome new players who want to be part of our great group. Any C-girl who lacks a proper football home has found the right place: FC Ylivieska. Join the fun!

Our winter training shifts are:

Tuesday 17:00-18:30 Liikuntasali + aula (60 min. football, 30 min. coordination/fitness)

Thursday 18:00-19:30 Tennispuoli (from January on we will move to the kuplahalli several times)

Saturday 15:00-16:30 Liikuntasali

Additionally, we will go once per month to the Kalajoki Event Park to train on artificial grass and we try to get a few test games before the season.

If you want to come to a tryout-training, please let me know upfront (contact info).

Football greetings,

Ralf
